Opinion: Who assassinated Puntland's deputy Police commissioner?

London: Semi-autonomous region of Puntland in North-East Somalia never reached a point where high ranking Government officer is murdered in the front of highly populated and secure area of Bulshale Hotel in Garowe City. It was around 7:30pm on 2nd July 2012 when late Lt Col Abdulahi Saleh Mohamed emerged from building he was with some friends and tried to enter his vehicle and suddenly approached by two gun men armed with Pistols and started shooting on him. Alarm was raised and suddenly police arrived at the scene and starting investigation.
Rumors and reality.

According to reliable source from Garowe, late Lt Col Abdulahi had strong exchange conversation yesterday 2nd July 2012 with Puntland Vice president where Mr Abdulahi was keen to send paramilitary forces to the restive city of Domco where local two clans fought viciously against each other over the past ten days. The Vice president Mr Abdi Aw ali Shire refused the idea to send troops to stop the bloodshed in Domco and then he apparently took decision to relieve duty from Late Col Abdulaahi on the spot and ordered the removal of his body guards and police Vehicle.

Many political commentators are believing that Garowe administration is waging a war within and Late Col abdulahi is victim of this dirty war going on in Puntland who ever dares to differ views he must be eliminated.

Late Abdulahi Saleh hailed from Widhwidh City in Northern Somalia was one of the great soldiers surviving in our life time and always resisted to take part internal Somali conflict at any costs. In Garowe he was popular with local people and was never expected any grudge against any sector of society. One Garowe resident through telephone told me that he was hard worker and always tried to upheld law and order in Puntland and will be greatly missed.

Puntland administration needs to answer many question including why Col Abdulahi was relieved his duty unofficially, and then next day murdered which seems well organized crime?
