Dear President Prof. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud
When you woke up the morning after the Inauguration Day, you had the enormous challenges that confront you in the lead up to first 100 days:
Appointing Prime Minister.
The appointments process has become brutal in the length of time that it takes for many tribe people to go through this process once a cabinet has been named. Not to mention the fights of the parliamentary and the complexity of this whole process. It is rough to go through the appointment process and the selection process. And the way the process is structured now it almost presumes guilt on the part of the candidate for the PM office.
First and foremost, you've got to figure out who's going to be in your staff.
Then you're trying to figure out who's going to be on the Villa Somalia staff. You're going to be having Resume papers thrown at you left and right. If you wait too long, you really don't hit the ground running, which is what you have to do as President of the Republic of Somalia. If you really want to be effective in that transition period, you've got to start thinking about it immediately. However, it doesn't have to be high profile and it doesn't have to be something that you're going to send press releases out on. But a good way to approach it would be to figure out who are persons that very likely might be your chief of staff and Security Team. And say to those people, "What I want you to do is to begin to take the time to look really at three areas." Security, Security and Security.
The First Hundred Days.
It is very important Mr. President that you to identify the two or three things you want to accomplish in the first 100 days. Even though it may not happen, you want to start thinking about what are those two or three things that you really want to accomplish, so at the end of those 100 days, you can show them to the Somali People.
Selecting Prime Minister.
Mr. President for your experience you clearly have a head start as far as selecting Prime Minister that you want to put in place.
Prime Ministers that served in the old administration, is not recommended because, there are inherently new players that you're want to bring into play. The reality is that you're New President; you want to bring in your own team. And your own team.
Honorable Mr. President. I wish you and Somalia all the best. We are lucky and very blessed to have you as our president.
Sincerely,
Abdiaziz Hassan Giyaajo Amalo
President of CorruptFree Somalia
